Best January Face: Happy Birthday Buddy
Reuben turned five this January. I got him to stop making zombie faces by promising to take him to get an ice cream cone. I had the light from the window, as well as an ott light which is how I got two catch lights in each eye.

Innocent Wonder: Eyebrows
I can hear his little “Mmmmhhh?” and maybe just his mother would notice his eyebrows raised, but there they are.

winter wonderland: on thick ice
My husband. In his ridiculous hat, that was actually merited because it was below zero. We were on a walk on the frozen lake, and while I wish I got a shot with a bit more of his face, and a bit less of his ridiculous hat, part of the hat’s “charm” is its enormity.

2010′s Best Face
I had so many fabulous faces from 2010, but this one stands out. February 2010, NYC, Morning light through our 6th floor bedroom window, 50 mm. I was just learning to use it, and was shocked at how good I captured this face.
My little Simeon has grown so much since this photo, but one thing remains constant, he has a fabulous face.
